Wildlife Studies & Wilderness Exploration 7

In this course we will research the main plants and animals found in Alberta and BC’s wilderness areas; in terms of their habitats and behaviors and whether the plants or animals can be dangerous to humans. We will research different careers that work in wilderness areas regarding training, safety, and job-related duties. We will also learn about preparing for wilderness travel (recreational) and what to do in an emergency. Finally, the students will plan a future fantasy hiking trip anywhere in the world (ie. The West Coast Trail)
