Community Care Services (CCS)
Students in the Community Mentorship CTF will learn the value of volunteering in their community. They will first learn the purpose of volunteering, how to effectively mentor and lead, and how to communicate with younger children. This will be done by pairing up the junior high students in this course with younger students in elementary. It will be similar to the “Big Brother, Big Sister” program where students learn to be positive role models for younger children (while also supporting the teacher in the classroom). Students will meet with their “buddy” once a week during CTF for a period of time which will give them real life experiences in volunteering and supporting our Holy Family community.
